LONDON YACHT SHOW RESCHEDULED TO 2020

The organisers of the London Yacht Show have today announced the postponement of the 2019 edition of the event until 2020 to ensure the delivery of a high quality on-water show, with the scale and breadth to attract full participation of the industries it is aimed at.

Following extensive consultation with key stakeholders and brands within the UK yachting industry, the event had been rebranded and relaunched with a focus on the high-end boating and luxury goods market – building on the previous London On Water Show.

With this greater focus and ambition, the London Yacht Show was scheduled to launch at the prestigious St. Katharine Docks in the heart of London from 8-12^th May 2019. Providing the opportunity to showcase yachts on water, alongside a floating luxury pavilion, the show was intended to create a unique experience for exhibitors and visitors alike.

The event was launched to the market in December 2018 and generated a huge amount of industry interest and excitement, with many of the UK’s largest yachting brands signing up for the show and numerous other luxury stakeholder’s pledging support and commitment.

Andrew Williams, President Maritime Group, said:

“Since an initial burst of interest in the London Yacht Show, take-up has slowed from some segments of the industry and from luxury brands. And so, with just over a month to go until the planned launch, overall commitment to the event is not at the level required to deliver a show with the profile, scale and market breadth the industry asked for and deserves in London. Following extensive consultation with key stakeholders, we therefore believe it is in everyone’s interest to postpone the show until next year.”

He added: “We are all now very focused on delivering a great event and experience in 2020, creating a unique experience for visitors and a leading UK showcase for exhibitors within the growing, international yachting, boating and luxury markets.”

SHOW REPORT of THE LONDON TEXTILE FAIR 2016

420 exhibitors, 1 extra room in textiles, 15 new accessories…the positive response of TLTF to the Brexit.

The London Textile Fair just closed the doors with the largest number of exhibitors since its launch in 2008. British top buyers had the unique chance to source from a wide spectrum of fabrics, accessories, print studios, trims and vintage garments.

An extra room for the textile area was added to accommodate about 30 new manufacturers, also the accessories area was wider than the previous edition and the hall was at full capacity. The print design and vintage garments hall had also an increase in number with about 10 new exhibitors in total.

Despite the economic uncertainty, the show registered a consistent number of visitors, slightly less in quantity but with a substantial increase in quality. With 420 exhibitors, the show has confirmed its leading position within the UK market with an increasing international appeal.

EXHIBITORS PROFILE

TLTF is predominantly European, the textiles and accessories manufacturers have together more than 90% of the total exhibiting space. The show is the best occasion European manufacturers have to meet British buyers and the reviews from exhibitors are as usual very positive. The rebooking rate from previous editions is around 95% with a large group of mills exhibiting from the very beginning. A considerable number of new exhibitors for this July edition, 30 in textiles, 15 in accessories and 10 in the print and vintage hall.

As TLTF is predominantly European; the most represented Countries are Italy (28%), Turkey (23%), UK (19%), Portugal (9%) and Spain (6%).

TLTF is an ideal platform for meeting with designers, buyers and contract manufacturers for all the major high-street chains of both men’s and women’s clothing retailers
